Does Straw Have One Hole or Two?

Did you know there is a controversial topic that is discussed about straws? Yes. That long, often flimsy stick that we use to sip drinks out of. You could imagine that this topic about straws is meaningless and a waste of time, but surprisingly, many people have differing opinions to the point where this was a pretty hot topic due to how controversial it was.

Do straws have one hole or two? According to a recent poll, about 56% of people said one hole, while only 44% of the people believed there are two holes in the straw.

But I think it's clear as to what the answer is here. There is only one hole in a straw. If you look at a straw, you can see a connected tunnel between the two openings. The people who believe that there are two holes in a straw think that since there is an opening and an ending to the straw and a tunnel that connects these two "openings", there are two holes. Let's take a simple analogy and compare this hole to a donut. A straw is simply a stretched donut, and since stretching this donut creates it into a straw shape, there is no change in the number of holes, and the donut "straw" remains the same: one hole. Then, to the people who believe that there are two holes in a donut, what is your logic? Do you think there is one or still believe there are two holes?
